Vote for me!!

Lately, I have been addicted to minted.  They have the best selection of cards and stationary BECAUSE it is all designed by indie designers and voted on by the community.  The collection of cards on minted is unique and really stunning.  If you haven't stopped by lately, check it out.  Also, don't forget to vote for me.  Two of my designs made it through to the final round of voting for their wedding invitation challenge!  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

On the farm

My son Henry's 2nd birthday was in the end of July, but we just had his party this weekend.  Here are some highlights from the day.  Since he has a summer birthday we can have it outside but cross our fingers that the weather cooperates.  He loves farm animals and anything related to farms so I decided to have his party at Muscoot Farm.  We had beautiful weather and everyone had a blast!

Here are some of my creations for his party.  Who wouldn't love a bottle of water complete with a cow sticker?

Here are the party favors.....

Inside were two farm themed books, bubbles with a matching cow label and the cutest crayon roll I have ever seen.  I purchased those from an adorable etsy shop called Bows So Sweet.  I had to include a picture because I was just in love with these!

And last but certainly not least here are a few of our farm themed cake.  The day and the party turned out perfectly!

Happy Birthday Henry!

Milestone Birthday

About a month ago, I helped one of my very good friends put together a birthday party.  As a wife and mother, she feels like she is always doing things for everyone but herself so she decided to throw herself a birthday party.  She has two boys and wanted to throw a birthday party all in pink.  Needless to say we went all out with girlie stuff and of course pink.  We tried to achieve this without being cheesy and I think we nailed it.  Here are some of my favorite pictures of the decor and paper goods that I created for the occasion!  It was an awesome party complete with good food and great friends!

A few of the party favors we created for birthday

For the drinks she served different bottled beverages, but we wanted them to match.

She also had a make your own mimosa and bellini bar so we labeled the juices.

Here is the finished table.  I forgot to take a detail picture, but all the food was labeled as well to match the theme.  If you look at this photo closely you can see it in the right corner.

Thanks Sabra for letting me part of your special party!  It was awesome!

Orange you glad I said orange?

Let me start by saying that I have been a total delinquent.  Okay, that being said I REALLY promise this time to post more often.

So here it goes....

I am in love with this bag (in orange) but I don't think I can justify buying another expensive bag, especially since I will probably be sick of it quickly.  So here are my substitutes for my cravings for orange...

Now if could just decide which one!!!

Time to get going!!!

If you haven't noticed, I haven't been very good about tracking my progress or anything else.  As most of you mommies out there know, having kids is a lot of work.  Add in a "real" job and my "dream" job (pretty in paper) and there isn't much time for anything....even sleep.  But now it is time to get serious.  I am committing myself to post at least once if not twice a week.

I have been inspired by my new favorite blog.  Check out oh my handmade goodness.  Sara Tams whose etsy site is one of my favorites, is the creator and editor of this great new blog.  Here you can find helpful tips and insight from other contributors about starting, running and managing a handmade business.  Good Luck to them!!

As for me, I am going to try to take some of their tips to heart and get busy!!! Check back soon for some new products and of course my soon to be finished home office

New Year ..... New Office

I mentioned in an earlier post that I was converting my former oil tank room into my new "office".  I am currently stuck sitting at my kitchen counter and have very little work space if any.  So I am excited that my "office" is almost complete.  I don't even think it can be considered a room, but it will definitely work for me.  I am only 5'1" and the ceiling is 6' high, but that means I won't have a lot of company which is what I am looking for.  I am also so excited that there will be no toys in the room.  As a mom of two young boys and I am constantly stepping over and on toy cars, trains and pointy things.  I can't wait to have a space all my own!!! Pictures to follow!!!

50 and fabulous

No, I am not referring to my age, not yet at least (I just turned 31).  I just hit 50 sales on my etsy shop.  I honestly can't believe it!! I want to thank everyone who has purchased something from me over the last few months.  I never really thought this would turn into what it has for me.  I just started it as a side project and hoped that it would do what it has.  Well so now here we are at 50 sales.  I am sure that doesn't seem like a lot but for me it is my first milestone.  Now on to 100!!!
